We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer based in South Africa to design, develop, and maintain web applications for U.S. clients. This remote role requires expertise in front-end and back-end development, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience with modern web technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications for U.S.-based clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
Optimize websites and web apps for performance, scalability, and security.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using best practices.
Debug and resolve issues across various browsers, platforms, and devices.
Integrate APIs and third-party services as needed.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and accessibility guidelines.
Continuously research and apply emerging technologies and web development trends.
2+ years of experience in web development.
Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
Back-end experience with technologies such as Node.js, Python, PHP, or Ruby on Rails.
Solid understanding of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Experience using Git for version control.
Familiar with RESTful APIs and cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Based in South Africa and able to work U.S. business hours.
Compensation: $2,000 – $6,000 USD per month, depending on experience.
Paid twice monthly via independent contractor agreement.
