Programmer Analyst (Remote)

Job description:

This position is for a Programmer Analyst working on an application called eMOD that supports our Maintenance Engineering group who authors Aircraft Technical Maintenance Manuals.  The responsibilities include developing and maintaining all the PDF document output Format and Style functionality, this also includes creating and maintaining the XPP style and format for all our eMOD PDF documents. Page layouts, pagination styles, item/element style definition, XPP Macro definitions, Print PDF definitions, etc.  There are currently 40+ associated Maintenance Manual doctypes.  The role also provides Production Support if there’s any issues with the PDF output. The issues could be eMOD Publishing operations (eMODx, eMOD9.5, SPEED, or SMITS), Conversions, Authoring, or XPP.

The team uses Agile work practices and tools to track and manage the work, this position would be responsible for driving the teams and maintaining ADO

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of experience with XPP Style and Format definitions
• 1+ years of experience with XPP Workflow processing definition (Perl)
• 1+ years of experience with Transformations definition (Perl, OMNIMARK, XSLT)
• Experience in XML, SGML and other structured data types
• Experience in PDF requirements for ATA, S1000D and MIL standards
• Experience with Change Page Management (Loose Leaf, LOEP generation)
