We are looking for an experienced Clinical Trials Business Development Manager to join our team!

The Clinical Trials Business Development Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth and operational excellence across CPC’s clinical research portfolio. This position combines business acumen with deep clinical research expertise to foster strong client relationships and ensure high-quality project delivery.

In this position you will: 


  • Serve as the primary liaison for new study proposals, budget negotiations, and contract execution
  • Lead proposal development for new studies and consulting engagements, collaborating with internal teams to craft compelling responses and accurate budgets.
  • Create and update budgets for proposals
  • Work with finance to optimize budget models and update them for changes in services
  • Manage timelines for proposals, bid defenses, and contract negotiations to ensure timely delivery and alignment with client expectations.
  • Maintain and update standardized templates for proposals and client-facing materials.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for internal teams regarding scope of work, budget amendments, and task allocations.
  • Maintain and evolve standardized templates and materials for proposals, capabilities presentations, and client communications.
  • Partner with Legal Affairs to execute confidentiality agreements and ensure compliance during pre-contract phases.
  • Coordinate vendor quotes and external meetings related to proposals, budgets, and strategic discussions.
  • Additional activities as required. 


    Here's what you'll need to bring to the table:


    • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or Nursing (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum 5 years in clinical research, with at least 3 years in sponsor or CRO project management.
    • Proven success in business development and proposal management.
    • Deep knowledge of GCP, FDA, and ICH regulations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent interactive skills to be able to interface broadly with both internal and external teams.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
    • Adaptability, conflict resolution, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%.


    Targeted Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 annually
