Summary:
This Business Development Specialist will focus on finding new business opportunities for our equipment and products in fitness accounts as directed by the Business Development Manager. Additionally, this Business Development Specialist will assist with all grand openings, product launches, demonstrations, and training at each respective club. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who has personal experience as a fitness instructor/personal trainer, or a huge fitness enthusiast, and has a passion for marketing tech-driven skincare and tanning solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Develop a new business pipeline by researching, developing, and leveraging partnerships.
- Identify key decision makers within target customers and build strong relationships.
- Establish relationships with customers, provide problem-solving or troubleshooting support, and enhance networking opportunities through referrals.
- Drive equipment and solution sales within existing customer base and new markets.
- Participate on-site at club locations for grand openings and product launches.
- Educate, train, and manage the sales activities with customers.
- Attend market specific industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and participate to provide information on market and creative trends that would add value to the consumer marketplace.
- Learn the facets of all four (4) of our remarkable brands and sell, teach and train accordingly.
- Utilize and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to build a sustainable business activity plan with regular progress updates.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Other job responsibilities as assigned.
Skills/Characteristics Needed for Success:
- Minimum of 3 years of Sales or Customer Service experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but relevant practical experience will also be considered.
- Must have demonstrated experience as a personal trainer or fitness enthusiast.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and to drive the business with a high sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs that manage complex sales cycles including the ability to provide coordination and direction to your team members.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage customer executive relationships at the highest levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, writing and presentation skills.
- High energy and attention to detail.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
This person can be based remotely in the US and will have 50% or more travel required. May be required to move up to 20 lbs.
