The Opportunity

Automotive is moving from experimentation to deployment at scale across automotive manufacturing

OEMs in this space are under intense pressure to move faster, iterate smarter, and scale production without compromising quality. Traditional manufacturing partners struggle to keep up.

This role is for a senior hunter / rainmaker with Automotive relationships who can immediately penetrate the market, open doors at speed, and convert programs into scalable revenue. This is not a vertical build. This is a market attack with urgency and velocity.

The mandate is clear:

  • Drive significant growth in Automotive
  • Compress deal cycles below today’s 3–6 month norm

What You’ll Be Selling

You’ll lead with Fathom’s strengths in:

  • Precision CNC machining (structural components, frames, motion systems)
  • Precision sheet metal (enclosures, housings, frames)
  • Complex electromechanical assemblies

Typical programs range from $200K to $2M+ in annual run-rate, with strong expansion potential as platforms scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as both an enterprise seller and vertical leader
  • Rapidly penetrate automotive accounts using your existing network
  • Originate, structure, and close high-value manufacturing programs
  • Compress sales cycles through strong qualification, technical fluency, and executive access
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, and program teams to win and scale programs
  • Shape pricing strategy, deal structure, and program scope within defined guardrails
  • Build executive-level relationships that lead to multi-program, multi-year growth

Who You Are

  • A proven hunter / rainmaker with enterprise credibility
  • Deep experience selling into automotive industry
  • Strong network across engineering, operations, and executive leadership
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast
  • Equally credible in technical discussions and executive-level conversations
  • Motivated by autonomy, ownership, and outsized impact
