Business Analyst

eSimplicity is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our data analytics team. In this role, you will support the design and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities aimed at transforming mission operations, improving efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The analyst acts as a liaison between stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to ensure that AI/ML solutions align with operational goals and regulatory requirements.? Successful candidates will be eligible to hold a U.S. Federal Public Trust security clearance. 

This position is contingent upon contract award.  

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with mission stakeholders to identify operational challenges and opportunities for AI/ML integration.  
• Document functional and non-functional requirements for AI/ML solutions, ensuring clarity and alignment with agency objectives.
• Conduct gap analysis to determine where automation and predictive analytics can enhance mission workflows.  
• Solution Design Support  
• Work closely with data scientists and architects to translate business requirements into AI/ML models and workflows.  
• Validate proposed solutions against business objectives and compliance standards. 
• Assist in defining success metrics and performance indicators for AI/ML initiatives. 
• Process Transformation  
• Analyze existing mission processes and recommend AI-driven optimizations, such as predictive risk assessments or automated incident classification. 
• Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of AI/ML tools across operational teams.  
• Testing and Validation  
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for AI/ML solutions to confirm functionality and usability.  
• Document findings and coordinate with technical teams for refinement. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 4+ years hands-on business process modeling (BPMN) and documenting functional/non-functional requirements.  
• 4+ years experience in business analysis, with a track record of successfully executed projects and demonstrated problem-solving abilities. 
• Expertise with a variety of collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Team, Powerpoint, Visio, Sharepoint, Excel) 
• Strong oral and written communication skills for data storytelling.  
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders.  
• Experience preparing impact assessments and business cases for technology adoption.  
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.   
• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.   
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Familiarity with gap analysis and workflow optimization for AI-driven processes.  
• Understanding of machine learning workflows, predictive analytics, and model validation.   

Working Environment: 

eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.   

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
