You will be responsible for building a thermoformed food service business from the ground up. Leveraging your knowledge of the food service market to define a customer base and where Sonoco has the βright to winβ.
What you will be doing:
- Deliver a minimum of $5MM+ per year of net profitable growth in the thermoformed food service market
- Strong multi-channel prospecting strategies and cadence
- Successfully onboards new customers
- Prioritizes workload to maximize impact and output
- Tracks prospecting actives in detail managing leading indicators, not lagging
- Monitors closely and reports on all activity at each customer and prospective customer regarding leadership changes, expansions, closings, business trends, and all other factors impacting volume and growth
- Maintains detailed prospect files (share, relative quality, relative price, specifications, contacts, competitor, etc.) on an ongoing basis
- Develops action-oriented account plans for key prospects
- Establishes and maintains multi-level contacts at all major existing and prospective accounts expanding relationships beyond themselves
- Provides immediate supervisor with sales projections for products and customers within assigned area of responsibility for use in developing sales budgets
- Provides marketing with input for use in developing strategic plans
- Proficient with technology and management of - remote meetings, Microsoft, CRM, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Mintel, and Vidyard
- Assists division marketing with trade shows, conventions, and trade association meetings as requested
- Assists, as needed, with the training of division sales and marketing personnel
- Submits expense reports, reports of call, and itineraries on a weekly basis and all other reports on schedule.
- Protects assets, confidential and restricted information, developments, specifications, materials, legal obligations, and other such data in contacts with external parties.
- Complies with all company policies.
This is a remote position. Ideal candidates will be in the eastern half of the US.

- You have a 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of food service industry and market experience
- Must have good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $100,053 to $112,560
An annual bonus is awarded to eligible employees upon attaining various business and individual goals as defined by the Company and the department leader.Β This annual bonus is discretionary, and the Company has sole discretion to determine the amount of the award.
