This role sits at the core of marketing intelligence and strategic decision-making, shaping how large-scale marketing investments are measured, optimized, and understood across both user growth and advertiser acquisition. You will lead high-impact analytical initiatives that define how marketing effectiveness is quantified across brand and performance channels in a data-rich, fast-moving environment. Acting as a senior technical leader, you will design advanced measurement frameworks that guide multi-million-dollar budget allocation decisions. The role blends deep statistical expertise with strategic influence, requiring close collaboration with Marketing, Growth, and Finance leadership teams. You will also help unify B2B and B2C growth measurement strategies, ensuring a holistic understanding of ecosystem value. This is a highly autonomous position where your work directly shapes long-term growth strategy and organizational decision-making at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Define and own the long-term (2–3 year) marketing measurement roadmap, including North Star metrics and strategic frameworks for budget allocation.
- Develop and enhance Media Mix Models (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) systems to quantify incremental marketing impact across channels.
- Design and execute advanced causal inference methodologies, including geo-holdout experiments and incrementality testing frameworks.
- Build unified measurement approaches that connect B2B advertiser growth and B2C user acquisition, identifying cross-flywheel synergies.
- Partner with Marketing, Growth, and Finance teams to translate complex analytical insights into strategic budget and investment decisions.
- Lead technical standards across marketing science initiatives, mentoring junior data scientists and improving modeling rigor and code quality.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders, influencing high-level strategic direction.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- 6+ years (Ph.D.) or 10+ years (Master’s) of industry experience in data science, marketing science, or econometrics.
- Strong expertise in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality testing, causal inference, and customer lifetime value modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Python or R and SQL, with experience building scalable, production-grade data pipelines and statistical models.
- Proven ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and translate complex quantitative analysis into business strategy.
- Strong strategic thinking, adaptability, and experience working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
