Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in the design phase of a large-scale, end-to-end platform transformation built on Salesfsorce. This is not a traditional business analyst role. We need someone who brings a product thinking mindset: someone who analyzes current-state processes with rigor, evaluates how Salesforce’s native capabilities can reshape those processes, and translates findings into clear, defensible decisions that improve the end user experience.
You will work at the intersection of process redesign, platform capability analysis, and user experience; partnering closely with UX, product, and operations stakeholders to define future-state workflows grounded in what Salesforce does out of the box. You challenge legacy assumptions, surface what’s possible through the platform before reaching for custom development, and bring analytical depth to all conversations. Critically, you are comfortable producing your own high-fidelity mockups and user flow visualizations using modern and AI-assisted design tools. And you know when a concept needs a dedicated UI designer versus when you can drive it yourself.
You will contribute meaningfully to user stories and functional documentation, in close partnership with a Product Owner and product team who hold final ownership of the backlog.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Process Analysis & Redesign: Analyze current-state processes end-to-end, identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and gaps, and develop future-state recommendations grounded in Salesforce’s out-of-the-box capabilities. Bring a data-informed perspective to process redesign: quantify pain points, model scenarios, and make the case for change.
Salesforce Capability Mapping & Fit-Gap Analysis: Evaluate business needs against native Salesforce functionality to determine where OOTB capabilities solve the problem versus where custom development is genuinely necessary. Own the fit-gap analysis for design sessions and translate findings into actionable recommendations for the product and architecture teams.
Prototyping, Mockups & UX Judgment: Produce clear, usable mockups of future-state screens and user flows independently ,using modern design and AI-assisted tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Balsamiq, Galileo AI, Magician, or equivalent),without waiting for a UI designer to make the concept tangible. You know how to get a design to a high enough fidelity that stakeholders can react to it and end users can test it. Equally important, you can identify where a concept has design complexity that warrants dedicated UI design investment, and make that case clearly to the product team. When a UI designer is available, you collaborate and hand off effectively. When one isn’t, you don’t stop moving. Also build or configure lightweight Salesforce demonstrations: flows, layouts, page configurations, to show what’s achievable natively before custom development decisions are made.
End User Experience & Design Collaboration: Partner with the UX Lead (when available) to define future-state interaction models and process flows that reflect both platform capabilities and real user needs. Participate in user feedback sessions, synthesize findings, and use evidence from those sessions to sharpen design decisions. The goal is an experience that is both platform-native and user-centered.
Workshop Facilitation & Discovery: Co-facilitate design workshops, process mapping sessions, and discovery conversations with business and operations stakeholders. Guide discussions toward outcomes; extracting complex requirements, surfacing competing priorities, and building shared understanding across functions.
User Story Contribution: Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and product team to inform and shape user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. You are a key input to the backlog, not its owner, Your analytic and Salesforce expertise makes the stories sharper and more grounded in platform reality.
Reporting & Insights: Develop Salesforce reports and dashboards that support operational visibility and inform ongoing product decisions. Apply analytical skills to surface trends, patterns, and opportunities within platform data.
Platform Currency: Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and evolving best practices while proactively identifying how platform innovations can improve our design approach or accelerate value delivery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
o    Deep knowledge of Salesforce OOTB capabilities, configuration options, standard objects, and platform limitations
o    Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to end-to-end process redesign efforts; not just documenting current state, but actively shaping the future state
o    Experience contributing to user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications in partnership with a product team
o    Proficient in Agile delivery methodology.
Ability to:
o    Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate processes, identify root causes, and build evidence-based recommendations
o    Comfortable working with data to quantify business problems and validate design decisions
o    Independently assess fit between a business need and native Salesforce functionality without requiring a technical architect to drive that evaluation
o    Proficient with modern mockup and prototyping tools; actively uses AI-assisted design tools to accelerate the creation of user flows, wireframes, and screen concepts
o    Able to produce design artifacts independently when a UI designer is not available and calibrate the fidelity of those artifacts to what the moment requires (rough sketch for a discovery session; higher fidelity for stakeholder review or user testing)
o    Strong UX judgment: knows which design decisions require specialist expertise and can identify and advocate for UI design investment when the complexity warrants it
o    Able to contribute to workshops with cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex, competing inputs into clear design direction
o    Strong communicator and collaborator who is able to work across product, UX, architecture, and operations
o    Comfortable challenging current-state assumptions and advocating for platform-native solutions
