Job Description

VOLCANIX AUTOMATION is seeking experienced Robot Programmers to support automation installations and production launches across North America. This role involves programming, integration, and commissioning of robotic automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Program and commission industrial robots
• Integrate robots with PLC-controlled automation systems
• Perform system debugging and optimization
• Support equipment installation and startup
• Troubleshoot robotic systems and automation cells
• Work with controls engineers and mechanical teams during integration
• Required Robot Experience, experience with one or more of the following:
  • Fanuc
  • ABB
  • KUKA
  • Kawasaki
  • Motoman (Yaskawa)
• Preferred Industry Experience:
  • Automotive manufacturing
  • GM, Ford, Tesla or Tier 1 suppliers
  • High-speed automation lines
  • Material handling and assembly automation
  • Welding or vision systems

Requirements

• Willingness to travel 90–100%
• Strong troubleshooting and commissioning experience
• Ability to work independently on customer sites
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Work Authorization
