Role Overview
Join Promise Hospice as a Remote Customer Service Representative and become an integral part of our compassionate team that provides care and support for terminally ill patients and their families. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in gathering necessary information to facilitate patient admissions and ongoing care needs.
- Coordinate communication between patients, families, and our healthcare team to ensure smooth transitions and care delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and documents related to patient care.
- Educate clients and their families about hospice services, benefits, and the care process.
- Utilize empathy and active listening skills to understand client needs while addressing their concerns effectively.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to continually enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all company policies and legal regulations to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospice industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in computer applications and customer management software.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health services or related field is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospice or palliative care.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, especially in Spanish.
