Associate Tax Programming Specialist

United States

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Remote

We are looking for a hardworking, forward- thinking individual that has practical experience in business entity income tax compliance and/or programming. This individual will be very interested in transferring that practical experience into the tax software environment by helping us create and maintain corporate and Pass-through tax software solutions. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join CSC Corptax from a remote location.  Visit our website at: corptax.com

 Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Develop working knowledge of assigned jurisdictions’ tax forms, requirements, and calculation logic
  • Continuously learn and adapt to evolving tax laws and technologies
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with cross-functional team members.
  • Interpret requirements provided by researchers and implement changes into our tax return calculations (we use proprietary software language and training will be provided) 
  • Unit test updates to ensure accuracy and reduce rework 
  • Assist with creating, maintaining, and improving process documentation for the Team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in a timely and effective manner

 

Experience and qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
  • CPA or master’s degree is a plus
  • 0 to 3 years of industry or public accounting experience specializing in Corporate and/or Pass-through income tax compliance or programming experience.
  • Equivalent experience at a tax software company is a plus
  • Exposure to and interest in tax software applications and Microsoft products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work extended schedule as required to meet objectives 

 

Ideal candidates are eager to learn and interested in growing their skills in a tax‑technology environment.

You’re interested in exploring how Generative or Agentic AI, AI‑enabled tax research platforms, and data analytics tools can be used to support and improve our processes.

Hands‑on experience or exposure to technologies such as Microsoft Excel (including more advanced features), Visual Studio or VS Code, Azure DevOps, Git, and/or reading or writing COBOL or C# is considered a plus but not required.

At CSC, compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $58,000-$73,000
